Two Thematic Cues in B-flat and C, Biamonti 254 (1800) These two cues, the first of which is in cut time, and the second being in 6/8, are found on page 67 of the Landsberg 7 sketchbook used by Beethoven in late 1800 and early 1801. Since the second cue would be playable by a string quartet and sketches for op. 18 nr. 1 appear in the sketchbook, these cues are presented for string quartet, although they are not designated by instrumentation by Beethoven.
